The Schneider Electric Esmi Sense FDP s used as a master control panel for fire detection systems within a building. It sits at a prominent location like a sophisticated butler: always sharp dressed and eager to assist you, looking very confident about his own excellence, yet almost invisible when not needed.
Friendly compliance
Requirements for compliance to both local regulations as well as the strict European standard set up a strict framework for fire safety system design. Our innovative design overcomes the challenge by using adaptive soft keys and a rotary switch to create an excellent user experience.
Designed for upgradeability
We designed the fire detection panel to be a product that lasts over decades. Thanks to a modular design, both repair procedures as well as installation of new upgrade modules can be easily performed in the field. The latter is further supported by an open system architecture.
Award-winning usability
An international jury awards the Red Dot – a sought-after seal of quality – to products that feature an outstanding design. As stated by the jury: “The design of this fire detection panel impressively succeeds in combining high safety standards with proprietary concepts for usability.”
Evolution by co-development
The project was done in close co-operation with Schneider Electric’s internal designers and product developers. The result was an all-new version of the previous, blue panel model, a major leap in usability and upgradeability.
